Each year, businesses and artists collaborate to bring some extra color to storefronts throughout Granby through the Granby Public Arts Committee’s #lovegranby Community Art Project. The committee announced that this year’s featured color is green.

Participants are invited to create sustainable and unique pieces by upcycling materials, giving them new life as a DIY storefront or yard display for the annual art project.

The town of Granby offers a $350 stipend that can help cover the cost of supplies and labor needed to create a project. The Granby Public Art Committee can also help connect businesses with local artists.

Projects should be completed by June 15, and voting will remain open until July 3 with winners announced July 4. Photos of completed projects should be sent to pac@townofgranby.com.

In the past, projects have included floral artwork on the side of buildings, art made from old tires, painted benches, refashioned chairs and more.
