On the morning of Saturday, May 30, family and friends of the over 80 graduating seniors from Middle Park High School gathered in the school gym to celebrate their accomplishments and mark the step into the next chapter of their lives.
After ringing in the ceremony with a saxophone-singer duo, Bella Binkley and Vallie Mace, performing the National Anthem, class salutatorian Sydney Solomon gave a welcoming address to kick off the ceremony. Recognitions for staff and former students at Middle Park High School followed, with a special recognition for the one graduating senior volunteering in the armed forces: Riley Mullane, who is enlisting in the Air Force.
Vallie Mace and Jacob Trail were also recognized as the “Best All-Around Seniors,” an award given out annually by members of the faculty, staff, and administration to recognize persons who served the school and community as productive citizens.
Valedictorian Grahm Kauffman gave an inspiring speech acknowledging the time that lies ahead of the graduates, encouraging them to make decisions that allow them to experience new experiences. This message was echoed by Breanna Davis, English teacher and selected commencement keynote speaker.
A nearly 20-minute graduation video followed, highlighting the beauty of growing up of the tight-knit community that made the graduating class of 2026 who they are today. From baby pictures to elementary and high school experiences, moments of laughter filled the space as they reminisced on the moments that led them to this point.
The ceremonial walking across the stage ushered in loud claps and cheers from the crowd for the graduating class.
“The Class of 2026 will be remembered for its resilience, leadership, humor, kindness and the way you supported one another,” said Cindy Rimmer, principal of Middle Park High School. “Today you leave Middle Park High School not only with diplomas, but with the responsibility to lead meaningful lives marked by integrity, compassion, courage, and purpose.”
Congratulations to the Middle Park graduating class of 2026, we are all excited to see the mark you make on the world!
