The West Grand High School boys and girls wrestling teams have traveled across Colorado participating in tournaments. Many wrestlers have secured wins at their matches.
Most recently, Blake Terryberry won first place in heavyweight at the Valley Classic Wrestling Tournament at Center High School on Jan. 27. On the girls team, Morgan Lujan earned third place at the wrestling tournament at Chatfield High School on Jan. 27. The tournament included 501 girls who represented 62 schools.
The boys next game will be Feb. 3 in Rawlins, Wyoming. The girls next game will also be Feb. 3, against Vista Peak Preparatory High School. Both teams are preparing for the Colorado High School Activities Association’s State Tournament, which will be held Feb. 15-17.
