Winter Park Resort announces more terrain openings following snowy November
Winter Park Resort has announced that the Mary Jane territory will be opening Friday, Dec. 6. The Super Gauge Express and Iron Horse lifts will be running at Mary Jane starting at 9 a.m.
The resort has received more than 76 inches of snowfall this season as of Dec. 4, according to Winter Park Resort spokesperson Jen Miller, who also credited the resort’s grooming team for being able to open more territory.
On Saturday, Dec. 7, skiers and riders can take a break from the slopes and visit two of Santa’s reindeer from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the village. Visitors can get their picture taken on Santa’s sleigh.
The resort will also have a free holiday drone show once the lifts close Saturday. The resort recommends visiting the Derailer or Doc’s deck for the best view of the show, which is set to start after the sun sets.
